Rebecca Parshall, PhD

Rebecca is the Deputy Director at Learn4Life, where she leads cross-sector coalitions to identify and scale strategies that drive equitable outcomes for historically underserved students in early literacy, middle grades math, and postsecondary success. Prior to this role, Rebecca served as an instructional leader with KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, following classroom experience in Atlanta Public Schools and in Los Angeles Unified School District. She serves on several boards, including Teach For America Metro Atlanta, and is an alumnus of the Regional Leadership Institute. She holds a PhD in Educational Administration and Policy from the University of Georgia, an MA in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University, and a BA in Humanities from Walla Walla University. Her dissertation research examined the role of collective impact on regional postsecondary gains for students of color. Her research interests include federal education policy, teacher effectiveness, education finance, and deconcentrating poverty in schools. Outside of work, Rebecca loves rock climbing and exploring nature.
