Sylvia Russell

Sylvia Russell served as President of AT&T Georgia from January 2007 to December 2013. She started as an attorney with the company and later worked in various positions over the span of a decade, during which she helped build communities and touch many lives by providing volunteer and philanthropic support, especially in the realm of education.

Sylvia has received numerous awards and recognition, including being named Co-Georgian of the Year by James Magazine, one of the 100 Most Influential Georgians by Georgia Trend, and one of Atlanta’s 100 Top Black Women of Influence by the Atlanta Business League. In addition, she was inducted into the Academy of Women Achievers by the YWCA and named in “Women Making History – Women Leaders in Business” by the Georgia Women’s Legislative Caucus. Her formal education achievements include a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law.
